I specialize in hard to find esoteric books. I have a large collection of taboo science textbooks and documents that circulated in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, now very hard to find.
This one for sale is titled: Brain Control, by Elliot S. Valenstein - 1973
It discusses a large branch of science, now in the shadows, that discusses techniques for physical control of the brain. The primary area of interest was how to control the minds of hostile individuals. They did this by psychosurgery via lobotomies and destruction of particular regions of the brain to installing radio controlled brain stimulation devices (ESB), most notably those invented by Jose Delgado in the late 1960s and 1970s where he conducted research on controlling the mind via raido frequency brain implants. The research was conducted under the veil of Yale University, but the research was conducted for the United States Army and Air Force.
This book outlines the various Brain Control techniques that were circulating at the time and gives pictures and details of what they knew at the time. It is quite startling to see how much of the mind they were able to control, including heart rate and even making patients experience deja vu.
There is a chapter on experiments involving hyper active kids. Most of these were performed by cutting into the brain and destroying regions of the brain in the 5-8 year old patients. The results were a docile and obedient individual and neurosurgeons championed the use of psychosurgery to control outwardly disobedient individuals.
You can read about all that and more in this first copy of taboo science, now largely not spoken of.
